San Francisco, CA - (June 21, 2024) – The Bay Area Breakers, a Challenger Level Team in Major League Pickleball, have made significant moves to enhance their roster through the waiver wire. Initially holding the ninth overall slot, the Breakers traded their position along with cash consideration with the So Cal Hard Eights, acquiring the fifth pick to select player Jillian Braverman.

Jillian Braverman, a highly regarded player known for her exceptional skills and competitive spirit, is set to bring her talent and experience to the Bay Area Breakers. Her addition to the team is expected to enhance the Breakers' performance in the upcoming season and solidify their standing in the league.

In conjunction with this acquisition, the Bay Area Breakers have made the difficult decision to waive Rachel Rettger. Rachel has been a valuable member of the team, and her contributions have been greatly appreciated. The Breakers wish her all the best in her future endeavors.

Additionally, the Breakers made further strategic moves in the waiver wire by waiving Patrick Kawka and picking up DJ Young with the ninth pick in the second round. DJ Young is known for his dynamic play and versatility on the court, qualities that will undoubtedly benefit the Breakers as they aim for a successful season.
