Dallas opener in the books

The Bay Area Breakers wrapped their 2026 season opener at Pickler Universe in Carrollton, finishing the weekend 1–4 and tied for ninth in the league standings with one point. It was a tough opening event against a stacked Group A field, but the Breakers walked away with a Sunday win and plenty to build on heading into St. Louis.
How the weekend played out
The Breakers opened on Championship Court Friday against a sharp Texas Ranchers squad, then ran into the buzzsaw of the LA Mad Drops on Saturday — the eventual event leaders, who finished 5–0. A Saturday afternoon matchup with the Carolina Hogs came down to the wire but slipped away in the deciding game.
Sunday brought a quick turnaround against St. Louis on Championship, followed by the team's first win of the season — a statement performance against the Utah Black Diamonds to close out the event on a high note.
